Getting up and running

I used to get up and run to the Marina lighthouse. Sometimes upto the Vivekananda house. On some days, I used to take my bicycle to swim in the Marina swimming pool.

What happened? Why did I do those things in those days?

Why am I not able to do those things now?

For us, to do something, we have to decide to do it!

Joy of running with your best friend in a 10 km race at 8 km mark.

Let’s decide to act every morning to go for a run, it doesn’t matter if it is for just 20 mins. First day, you may cover only 2.5 km. Second day, you may cover 2.51 km. Third day, you may cover 2.52 km. Most important of all, the route that you take may not change at all giving you a feeling of boredom and that thought could take away all those that you tried and you will return back to your old habits of doing nothing.

One of my best friend tells me this. Just go out. Your mind may not be there. But your body can. Just do it.

If this is not motivating, then what else will?

Of course, each one of us will have our own priorities. If your health is not your priority, what will happen in the long run? So, run daily!
